Ingredients: Makes 1 Serving
- 2 ozĀ Irish Whiskey
- 1/5 oz ginger syrup
- 4 ozĀ soda water
- lime wedge
Ginger syrup recipe:
- 5 inches fresh ginger root
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup water
Directions:
- In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil and stir in the brown sugar until it dissolves.
- Slice the ginger and add it in.
- Simmer for 3 minutes; it should smell like ginger.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the ginger steep for 30+ minutes.
- Strain and cool the mixture.
- Fill a glass with ice and add theĀ Irish Whiskey, ginger syrup, and soda water.
- Stir and garnish with a lime wedge.
