Cran-Apple Sangria

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle fruity, dry red wine like Rioja or Tempranillo 
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 orange
  • 1/3 cup cranberries
  • club soda (optional)

Directions:

  1. Cut up the apple and orange and place them in a large pitcher.
  2. Add the brandy, apple cider, cranberry juice and sugar.
  3. Muddle for about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the bottle of wine, add the cranberries and give it a few good stirs.
  5. Let it hang out in the fridge for 1-24 hours.
  6. When you're ready to enjoy, serve the sangria over ice.
  7. And if you want a little sparkle, as a splash of soda to the glass.
  8. Cheers tonight, crush tomorrow!
