🍁 Maple & Oak

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1/2 oz pure maple syrup
  • 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Orange peel, for garnish
  • Ice  

How to make Maple & Oak

  1. Combine ingredients: In a mixing glass, add the bourbon, maple syrup, and bitters.
  2. Stir: Add ice and stir well for about 15-20 seconds to chill the mixture.
  3. Strain: Strain the mixture into a rocks glass with one large ice cube.
  4. Garnish: Twist the orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass.

Tips

  1. Use a darker, robust maple syrup for a richer flavor.
  2. For an added smoky touch, lightly torch the orange peel before garnishing.
